Reporting Concerns
If you are concerned about a child's welfare or worried they are being abused, you can make a referral to ReferralsCYPD@herefordshire.gov.uk - Telephone Number: (01432) 260800 - 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays).
Outside these hours, contact the Emergency Duty Service/Team on (01905) 768020.
The Interagency Referral Form can also be used to share information with your local office. More information on how to make a referral can be found in the found in the Referrals Procedure.

Children’s Help and Advice Team (CHAT)

The Children’s Help and Advice Team offers advice to children, young people and their families, where they need some extra support and guidance. Professionals can also contact the CHAT team for advice about children and families that they know who may need extra support.
LADO
A LADO referral must be completed where there are concerns that a person who works with children has:
- Behaved in a way that has harmed a child, or may have harmed a child;
- Possibly committed a criminal offence against or related to a child; or
- Behaved towards a child or children in a way that indicates s/he is unsuitable to work with children;
- A person has behaved or may have behaved in a way that indicates they may not be suitable to work with children.
This is in connection with the person’s employment or voluntary activity.
